If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else. This is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Picking just one sentence as a teaser is harder than it sounds... Oh well, who knows, maybe this will kick my muse into gear again on one of these...

Fandom: GW - Working title: Shadows
Heero had already been declared criminally insane and committed long before Quatre was able to pull enough strings to arrange visitation.

Fandom: GW - Working title: Two
Heero hated admitting that Relena was right; she was absolutely insufferable for days when that happened.

Fandom: GW - Working title: And The Church Burned
And the air was filled with the stench of burnt flesh but somehow, in his desperate fear for his best friend, Duo was able to block it out, to block out the flashbacks, and let the medic training rise to the surface.

Fandom: GW - Working title: Orders
There was more at stake here than one young boy - something he had to remind himself of repeatedly as he pushed his own young protege to the boy's limits and beyond.

Fandom: GW - Untitled Moonridge Auction fic #1
I went up and over the two tables between us and got there just in time to see Ms "Why Can't We All Just Get Along" snatch a beer pitcher off the nearest table and smash it over the guy's skull.

Fandom: GW - Working title: Mission N
"Damage like that... a huge chunk of wall gone but no structural damage anywhere else... man, you'd need high-grade explosives and a real demolitions expert for that."

Fandom: GW - Untitled GW fic
Relena gritted her teeth; Heero wouldn't have been able to do what he did if the others hadn't been there to keep the enemy suits occupied and he would be the first to admit it.

Fandom: GW - Working title: Returning
He'd foolishly - and, he admitted, arrogantly - supposed that Duo would forget all about over four years of silence simply because he'd deigned to honour Duo with his presence.

Fandom: TS - Working title: The Road
For one thing, this was definitely not the time to explain precisely how he'd jump-started his crash course in Sentinel-specific Shamanism.

Fandom: TS - Working title: Beginnings
Attempts to control and use individuals with the abilities but no protective instinct invariably led to the very bloody end of those with the temerity to try, while attempts to subvert the protective instinct of Sentinel-Guide partnerships led first to dead "controllers" then, if escape from the situation was impossible, to dead partners.

Well, that's not all of the new stories I'm working on and I left out the in-progress stuff like LWH and Kindergarten Heero, but I think that's enough... *sweatdrops* I'm never going to get caught up... *sigh*

Yep, there's a whole bunch of incomplete stories currently sitting on my hard drive. Now if I could just get some of them *finished*...

That's torture, pure and simple... :)

So much good stuff to look forward to!

'Teasers' is right... so is Ravensilver. Torture, pure and simple...

*tag offers a fashionable dark green 'Muse-Kick-Starting Boot' to calic0cat* Maybe that will help as well...

As always, eagerly looking forward to any and all of the above stories.

*applies boot to muse*

*watches as muse takes off chasing yet another new plot bunny*

Hmm, don't think that worked quite the way it was supposed to. :P Darn muse just doesn't want to *focus* lately.

::stares:: Woah.
(Is hooked)
I can't WAIT for them to come out! Are they one shots or series? I think you did a pretty good job of picking one cliffhanger line to leave us writhing....
God knows I am!

Umm, well, they're all stand-alone stories rather than series, but a couple of them are multi-parters - one of which has multiple complete chapters ready. But I'm really trying not to start posting any more multi-parters till I get Kindergarten Heero finished.

Hey! You're back! Did you have a good trip? Get any writing done, you tease you? *waggles eyebrows*

From: [identity profile] calic0cat.livejournal.com
The trip was good but I needed a vacation to recover after I got home. *sweatdrops* As for writing - oh, I wrote. And rewrote. And rewrote.

The same few paragraphs over and over and over...

I did so much editing that I had to keep rewriting the paragraphs because they were too marked up to be readable. I think my days of handwriting things are over; I've been too spoilt by editing onscreen where I can change and rearrange in a split second. Trying to write things out by hand just turned out to be an exercise in frustration. Don't think I'll be trying that again anytime soon.

Oh, I can't even deal with thinking about writing long-hand any more. I was stuck with the kid at a Toys-R-Us for hours one time, without a book, and I actually broke down and bought a notebook and some pencils... and never even got the package open. I can't live without my delete key! :P

oh, MAN!

You are so crazy, I love it. I can't imagine how you manage to have so many WIPs. It definitely is something to look forward to, though.

It's not the having the WIPs that's the problem... it's the finishing of them. Right, calic0cat?

Oh yes, the finishing is definitely the problem. :P

Crazy? *looks at list of incomplete stories* Yep, that'd be one way to put it. Now if I could just get a couple of these WIPs *finished*... *sigh*

I just wish I could get the darn muse to stop chasing new plot bunnies and finish a few of these ones! I've got way too many WIPs right now...
