I don't know whether I'm going to manage to get anything written this weekend let alone get my site updated. Tomorrow is the first horse show of the summer (well, not counting the exhibition thing that we took one horse to back in May) so today was spent bathing horses, cleaning tack, packing supplies, etc. And tomorrow, of course, will be spent at the show. Assuming that the thunderstorms in the forecast don't rain it out. *crosses fingers* I'd hate to have the darn thing cancelled after all the work we've done to get ready for it.
So anyway - this means that I have very little computer time this weekend. And since I was highly computer-frustrated during the week due to headaches at work involving a new DNS server I really haven't been on the computer much this week at home. (BTW, if anyone has had any success setting up BIND 9 on Red Hat Enterprise 3 Linux and getting the darn zones to actually (a) update slave zones on the server and (b) allow other slaves to update from master zones on the server, I'd be ever-so-grateful for some ideas. Last time I did this it was BIND 8 on Red Hat 7 and it was a snap; this time it's just Not Working.) The fact that a bunch of the Sentinel slash zines that I won in the Moonridge Auction arrived earlier this week meant that I had plenty of offline reading material to give me a break from the computer screen. So I didn't get much writing done during the week either. Depending what time the show is done tomorrow and how tired I am, I may still manage to get something done this weekend - but don't count on it. Especially since I'm starting work on my two stories that were won in the Moonridge Auction (both are GW fics) and that's going to probably slow down my other writing at least a little bit.

Date: 2004-07-22 05:48 pm (UTC)The horse show turned out okay. Since my second horse isn't trained to drive yet, we only went in the halter classes in the morning and the single hitch classes in the afternoon, which meant that we were done showing before the storm rolled in. They really rushed through some of the afternoon classes, though, trying to get them done before the storm hit.
