If anyone has noticed certain fic parts with missing chunks, please let me know either here on LJ or through e-mail. Specifying which parts or at least which fics would really help. Something seems to have gone wrong with some of the guest fics at least in the process of conversion to html files. Maybe something to do with the laptop issues I had yesterday since the problem parts seem to be ones I've worked on within the last couple of days.

I'll start working my way through fics myself but it will take a while to get through everything so please let me know if you spot any issues before then; I may still miss some things just because I'm trying to scan through so many files to check them.

*edit*

Done fixing Nomi's "D.C. Saga" - I think... All the problems there were ones that got cut off but Karen's "Strike Force Five" has at least one part with a piece missing in the *middle* of it so I may have still missed some things in Nomi's... I hope not...

Stupid laptop... Must be something to do with the way it was acting on the weekend; hopefully it doesn't do that again...

*edit*

Fixed Karen's "Strike Force Five". Hopefully everything's okay now. Let me know if anyone spots further problems, please...

Hm, well, I don't know if you have found this yet, but I believe that the end of The D.C. Saga, chapter 12, has been cut off... Anyway. ^ ^
(Btw, am still puddling about as gleeful goo from the lastest update of Fragments)

Hadn't got that far yet but I've taken care of it now. Thanks for the note, it's easy to miss something with this much stuff to re-check... *sigh*

Glad you liked the latest "Fragments". Should be another one sometime today... (Canadian Civic Holiday so I - theoretically - have all day to work on stuff. If it would just keep raining so I don't end up having to do yardwork...)

I believe that small parts from part 9 and 10 in the D.C. saga are still missing. Just wanted to let you know. PS. I love Fragments and Living with Heero! Keep up the great work.

Thanks! Re-did the coding and re-uploaded those as well. Maybe I'll have to give in and just redo everything I've done over the past three or four days. *groan* That would not be fun... But that's what I finally ended up doing with Karen's fic... There were too many little pieces missing to be sure I'd caught them all.

Think I finally figured out what's wrong with the laptop though... Looks like the CPU fan isn't working properly - urk... Off to ebay to search for a part...

Love your site

Um ok maybe not the most appropriate place for me to post this since you seem to be having a really shit day, but I really like your writing.

I write myself and am currently working on my site and its giving me ten thousand headaches ... I've been reading your work since you first started with the Life with Heero fic... and coming here to read updates kinda helps soothe me amazingly.

So I just wanted to say thanks for putting this site up and calming frazzled people's nerves... like me

Thanks! The positive feedback helps make up for the lousy day and website hassles...

Glad you're enjoying my writing. Hmm... Arithkenshin, that sounds familiar... *checks Mediaminer* Ah-ha! *You're* the one with that evil unfinished Heero-needs-to-make-up-with-Duo fic! The first fic was just - painful - poor, poor Duo, being tricked into thinking Heero was dead... And now that he knows better... Heero's got a *lot* of making up to do in the sequel...

So when's the next part coming out??

::pet, pet:: Poor Calic0cat, working so hard...

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but part eleven in The D.C. Saga has a missing chunk in the middle.

Unconsciously straightening his shirt, Duo stood in the line and was inside the booth in no time. Let's see if I remember how to do this... "Forgive me, Father, for I have si />The man made a sympathetic noise, but let Duo continue.

What's missing is the entire confession except for when Duo asks if it's okay to still sleep with Heero in the same bed. So if you want, I can just copy and paste all the parts, save them, and send them to you in an attachment. It's gotta be annoying, having to re-vamp everything! If it would make it easier, let me know. ^^

p.s. I think part eleven's the only one with the chunk in the middle. Everything else is fine. ::huggles:: Thanks for working so hard!

*argh* I swear, this is crazy. I copied and pasted that from the source code on your LJ directly into a nice new document that consisted solely of the headers (title, author, etc.). So obviously something funky happened with either WordPerfect when it did the saves (which is weird, because the non-HTML-coded, plain text stuff I saved over the past few days all looks okay) or - well, I don't know what else. Bad sector on the hard drive shouldn't cause that sort of thing really, the whole file should be unreadable... Or maybe not since it's just ASCII text really...

And since my local copies of the .htm files are mucked up, it didn't happen during the FTP transfer or on the server somehow...

Anyway - if you could send me the parts as attachments (with the italics and/or bold coded in would be nice), then yes, that would probably help. I have *got* to figure out what the *&^%$! is wrong with this laptop... Though it seems okay since I tore it apart and reassembled it yesterday afternoon...

LOL, I'll try to send you the files tomorrow, if I can. Our carpet's having to be pulled up and the walls are going to have to be torn down in the downstairs area. This is ridiculous! I won't go into the whole story here, but it's on my lj. I'll do my best to get you all the parts within the next three or four days, but my time is limited due to the construction on my damn house. -_- So your laptop is going haywire and so did my toilet. Modern miracles sometimes suck.
From: [identity profile] calic0cat.livejournal.com
Ack - hadn't really looked at anyone's LJ today but I looked at yours after you posted this. Don't worry about the files if everything other than #11 is okay. I redid it and re-uploaded it after I saw your explanation of what you're dealing with at home so it should be okay now. If everything's okay, then we're fine for now. And hopefully I won't have the same problem again.

And yes - sometimes, modern miracles do suck. And not in a good way... *snicker*
