Yeesh, close call with the laptop...

In the midst of typing the next part of "Fragments", my laptop keyboard suddenly quit working. *Completely* quit working. Tried rebooting and leaving it shutdown for a while in case of heat issues - no luck. Got it to work with an external keyboard so at least I knew I could get my data off. Backed everything up, shutdown, pulled four screws out and removed the keyboard. Disconnected the keyboard's cable to the motherboard. Cleaned everything out with compressed air, hooked it all back up again, and *voila* - back in business. No idea what the heck happened but I think I need to remember to back up the hard drive a little more often...

Not to mention, start budgeting for a new laptop... I think I'd lose my mind if I had to go back to using the desktop again...

Anyway, I'll still try to get something out tonight but I don't know whether I will or not since I lost a large chunk of the afternoon...

You scared me there for a moment. ^_^; When stuff like that happens to me it takes me days to figure it out. Will wait patiently for Fragments. *hits refresh button over and over and over*.... Okay, I'll go find something else to do. ^_^
