...*should* now be fixed. Logged-in users can permanently turn them off in their account settings, and guests who are not logged in should only receive a warning the first time that they click on an FRM or FRAO rated story during a session. Confirming the age statement in that pop-up should disable the warnings for the remainder of the session, though subsequent visits will of course start over with requiring one confirmation to override the warnings for the session. Since the various assorted methods of reaching a story each required editing to achieve this, it's possible that I may have missed a spot or two so please let me know if you come across any problems. Hopefully, this provides a workable compromise between site usability and placating lazy parents who can't be bothered to monitor their kids' Internet usage and therefore expect site owners to do it for them. Little Johnny or Susie is going to have to confirm an age statement at least once before "innocently" blundering into "age-inappropriate" material. As far as I'm concerned, that means I've done my part by giving the warning - honouring that warning is up to the individual visitor, not me.

um... you probably know this about Sol's fic...

but the Beatrice fic isn't there at all -- just the titles... That's the only I found that was completely not there, though I haven't clicked on every link...

Yikes! Actually, no, I wasn't aware of that. *sweatdrops* Thanks for letting me know. I've re-uploaded the story files, which seems to have resolved the problem.

Ok! I wasn't sure, since someone left a comment with the same information.

By default, the script emails notification of comments to the author - if the notification setting is turned on. I think I need to see about modifying that so that it *always* emails notification to the site admin, since otherwise I only accidentally discover comments on fics other than my own. Which obviously isn't too helpful if people leave comments regarding the fic's display on the site.

^^ Then again -- if you get notification about every single fic, if/when your site gets popular and you'll get flooded with email.
