Well, I'd intended to spend today getting caught up on e-mail and feedback responses. Except this blasted sniffling-sneezing-runny-nose-coughing-stuffy-ears thing that I've been battling with since - oh, *Christmas* or so - flared up worse again. This time with the whole painful-sinuses-and-short-of-breath bit for good measure. So I finally caved and went back to the clinic. Again.

An hour and a half to see the doctor. Five minutes in his office for him to decide that it's a sinus infection and I must be prone to them. Like *duh*.

Half an hour to pick up the bloody prescriptions. And man, oh man, am I glad I have a good drug plan at work because that would have been one very big bill otherwise. As in well over $100.

So, now I have 10 days worth of antibiotics (with drowsiness and dizziness as likely side-effects) plus an antihistamine and a nasal spray. On the upside, maybe I'll (a) actually manage to get a decent night's sleep and (b) actually shake this stupid thing. One can only hope.

So - still playing catch-up, at least as long as the side effects don't kick in, and also working on my next Sentinel "Clue" series fic and the next LWH and the next Kindergarten Heero. Whichever one chooses to cooperate at a given moment.

Just take your time. Make sure you, yourself, are okay *huggles*
I hope the meds help you out!

We need a magic sinus wand to pass around the fandom! ^^;
I will keep my fingers crossed that the meds work and don't have any side effects. *hugs*

Well, since I started the medication I've been doing a *lot* of sleeping but the congestion is at least starting to clear up. Hopefully I'll feel much better by the time the antibiotic is done. *crosses fingers*

I hope so too! I really expected the doctor to dismiss it as just seasonal allergies (meaning that not much could be done) so in a way I'm glad he figures it's an infection. At least that can actually be treated and will eventually go away!

*sigh* Yeah, sinus problems seem to be a pretty common occurrence, don't they? The meds do seem to be making me pretty sleepy. I was in bed by 9:30 last night and slept in till a little after 8 this morning, then took a three hour nap this afternoon and I'm probably heading off to bed within the next half hour. I'm running out of steam pretty fast. If they work and I end up feeling better, though, it will be worth it!

Thanks! My concentration has been lousy lately so hopefully if the medication works and I start feeling better, that will improve and my writing will pick up speed a bit again. *crosses fingers*

@__@!

Damn that all sounds like it sucks big-time. Take good care of yourself, take your meds and make yourself better.

Ignore the ficcies, they'll be there when you recover. Good luck!
