Just posted another Sentinel fic over at sentinel_thurs. Third in the "Clue" series. Now if the next challenge just manages to inspire another one of these, maybe I can finally get the series out of "pre-slash" and into "slash" territory...
I saw this and ran over to join the community. I've been looking for something like this, having read most of what I can find of Sentinel stories on the net.
Damn you Cat! Now you have me hooked on another fanfic series, not to mention pairing! Now I have to go find more of this... I fully expect you to finish the series soon as payment for giving me another addiction. :)
I presume you've found the big 852 Prospect (http://www.squidge.org/archive/) archive right? And the associated mailing list? Oh, and then there's the Sentinel Slash Virtual Season (http://www.squidge.org/5senses/) as well.
There's also Guide Posts and the Cascade Library (and two or three more Virtual Seasons) for gen but I don't really read much of that - I prefer J/B slash.
I prefer slash, too. Especially when there are no canon m/f pairings to speak of, although I've written both, as needed.
I've read a lot of good gen stories, but for romantic content, the m/m in this series makes more sense to me, simply because a female thrown into the mix always seemed to mean TROUBLE for these guys.
I always thought, even before I read much fanfic, "How are they going to explain this to some woman Jim happens to fall for? Um, sorry, dear, this guy here has to come on our honeymoon in case I go into a catatonic state from the hotel air freshner?"
I mean, just weird, huh? And find me a woman who'll go, "Oh, yeah, love having the other guy living with us, Jim, he's so cute, we'll just adopt him and he can keep sleeping under the stairs like our own personal little voyeur? Oh, and quit snorfling him, it's getting on my nerves!"
Yeah, I've read the whole archive at Squidge and the virtual season. I mean ALL OF it. Only took me about a year. LOL I go back periodically to see if there's anything new by favorite authors.
I'm not familiar with the mailing lists, though. I was always afraid if I joined one, I'd never finish writing my other fandom stories currently in progress. Recently, I just said to myself, "Ah screw it, I'll write what I want."
