I posted a little snippet over at [livejournal.com profile] sentinel_thurs if anyone's interested. I know, I know, I've got tons of GW writing to do, I shouldn't be starting to dabble in The Sentinel too but the darn idea wouldn't go away. Last time one of the challenges (a crossover one) inspired me, I kept ignoring the idea with the end result that not only did I *not* manage to get any GW writing done since I couldn't concentrate but I ended up losing the inspiration on the TS idea without ever writing the fic. I'd just watched the anime DVD Read or Die and the image of Blair trying to explain to Jim just how he managed to get caught in the middle of a battle fought with *paper* (paper capable of stopping bullets) while doing research at the library stuck with me for days - way longer than it would have taken me to just *write* the darn story. So this time, I gave in and wrote.

You can read the ficlet here.

This was a really great ficlet. I really liked how Blair is frustrated with Jim. You've got me hooked and I SO don't need another fandom. Between Gundam Wing, Buffy tVS/Angel and Highlander I don't have enough time already. But you've got me really interested, I'd read more of this if there was some. You may want to branch out. Keep things interesting. Not like your gonna stop writing Gundam Wing, cause we'd all hunt you down, but it may be something different for you to do. Glad that you shared it! Be proud!

I have no damn 'clue' who these people are, but it was an interesting little fic. Though... you have just described the safe house from hell; I hate that damn game! ^o^
Kept my interest despite not being familar with the fandom. ^__^

Well, there'll probably end up being a sequel to this 'cause you know me - gotta get that happy ending in there somehow! I've really been trying to resist getting caught up in writing for another fandom because I've got so darn many projects on-the-go already but the variety might be kind of nice.

Glad you enjoyed this!

*snicker* Okay, who always beats you when you play? *grin* It got so I couldn't get anybody to play with me - I was way too good at figuring out who had which cards based on observation and process of elimination.

Kept my interest despite not being familar with the fandom.

Good! Though it was darn weird writing something that *short*... And I'll probably have to write a sequel to "fix" things. I'm as much of a One True Pairing person with Jim & Blair as with Heero & Duo. Maybe even moreso since I can't imagine liking a TS threesome including Jim & Blair...

Woohooo, now your doing TS any chance of SG1 too?

Good snippets, both of them and soooo Jim. Ya think a cop would have more sense of self preservation. LOL. And you can write with less words! Shock! And no that is *not* a dig, I love what you do with Heero and Duo and at any length.

And that RoD crossover with TS, ya might try it again...would love to hear Blair's explanation.

SG1 too? Err, *no*. Not that I don't like it - I do. I just have quite enough irons in the fire now, thanks. And I haven't seen enough SG1 to really be comfortable writing in that universe; I watched faithfully for the first couple of seasons but haven't seen much of the more recent ones. And from some of the comments I've read, I'm not too sure that I *want* to.

Good snippets, both of them and soooo Jim.

Thanks! Poor Jim. Most of the time, I'm not sure whether I want to hug him or smack him - maybe both at the same time... Hmm, wonder if that'll be Blair's reaction... *grin*

And you can write with less words! Shock!

Yep, it was. *grin* Though it's noteworthy that I end up doing a mini-arc in order to do so... *snicker*

As for the RoD crossover - eh, we'll see. I think I'd have to rewatch an episode or two of RoD to recapture the mood and try to get the ideas flowing again.
