Ugh...

Blech. What a revolting way to spend a weekend. I'm now reading - for the second time this weekend, no less - nearly 150 pages of network security testing methodology for a course that my place of employment is sending me to this week. Five days, 9 to 5, of network security training. Ugh. I am in *so* far over my head with this... It's been *years* since I last worked with Javascript or C/C+ and almost as long since I did any perl scripting and this documentation is absolutely *loaded* with references to all of the above. I am Dead Meat. :P

And of course, they didn't send me the stuff for the course until late Friday afternoon. *&^%$#@!

So... I have more website updates that need to be done - maybe tomorrow night, depending on whether I have "homework" and on whether I can stand to look at a computer by the end of the day. I accomplished virtually nothing this weekend in terms of writing. What little I did accomplish was on a plot bunny picked at random from my file of the little beggars. I worked on that when I needed a break from the stupid stinking networking reading. I couldn't concentrate enough to work on anything that's part of a larger work; it's too hard to keep the characters consistent. Whether or not the plot bunny is even salvageable remains to be seen.

I also owe e-mail and LJ responses to a whole slew of people. Sorry folks, I will *try* to dig my way through the pile as I find time but this is going to be a thoroughly miserable week, I'm afraid.

RL sucks.
