Sort-of back...

calic0catWell, we actually got power back Friday afternoon but since we were warned that it probably wouldn't *stay* that way and were asked not to run anything other than necessities like freezers, I haven't been using the computer. Technically, we're still not supposed to be but at this time of night I figure I'm not exactly causing a major drain on the power grid. Possibility of rolling blackouts today (Monday) which sucks and doesn't at the same time since I got a call saying not to come in to work - which is why I'm still up at this hour since I can sleep in.
So - have done some writing over the past couple of days but it's all done the old-fashioned way (pen and paper) and has to be typed up. Plus it's not on anything in-progress since I didn't have print copies of that stuff to work with. :P Which means it may be a few more days before the next "Fragments", unfortunately. Charging up the laptop battery now though so I can use it at least a bit during the day and hopefully get *something* done. Though with rolling blackouts a real possibility, I'm not about to plug it in so once the battery dies, that's it. Rolling blackouts cause major surges and tend to fry equipment. And I wouldn't be using this even now (since we've had a few minor brownouts over the weekend) if I wasn't using it on a full-fledged UPS for surge protection (power bars don't cut it).
So - if I owe you e-mail, I may or may not get around to it in the near future (sorry). And fic postings (my own or Guest Fic updates on my site) will have to wait for now.
And if anyone's wondering, the handwritten stuff is a crossover fic. Post EW. Crossed over with The Sentinel (just moved the whole TS timeline more-or-less intact to 196-7 AC instead of being 1996-1997...). Eventual pairings 1x2 and Jim/Blair. If I ever finish the thing... *flips through 20+ pages of handwritten fic*
