Not exactly a *productive* week, but...
Jul. 24th, 2005 11:40 pm...a necessary one, I think. I've been pushing the writing fairly steadily for the last month or two, what with polishing off two TS stories for the Moonridge Auction, then really buckling down on the two GW ones that I still owe last year's Moonridge winners (originally supposed to be 5,000 word minimum, now 10,000 minimum and counting... *sigh*). I've been switching off with a few other incomplete GW bits-and-pieces that have been kicking around for a while, too, so hopefully I'll have something new ready before too long. At any rate, I was making somewhat slow but steady progress, up until earlier this week, when things kind of ground to a halt again. So, since I was already kind of forcing things along, I decided to take a bit of a break from writing, and the computer in general.
I did end up reading a few fics, but mostly I've been working my way through my rather deep stack of books that I've been intending to read for a while. Had today set aside for a little stained glass work, but the thunderstorms kind of screwed up that plan. My working area is a screen-enclosed porch, and standing out there playing around with water and an electric grinder in the middle of thunderstorms wouldn't exactly be the brightest thing to do, so I had to put that off. Tomorrow's supposed to be really hot, and Tuesday's forecast is for more thunderstorms, but hopefully I'll be able to get back at it on Wednesday. If not - well, next weekend's a holiday weekend (Civic Holiday), so hopefully I'll manage to get a few things done then.
Finally got back to the writing tonight, and it seems to be flowing reasonably well again. So, I guess the break was a good thing.
To-Do
So, anyway, that's where things currently stand.
If anybody's really desperate for some new GW ficcage, I did come across the first 8 chapters of a post-EW GW crossover fic that's going to require major poking to get me to finish it... Started back in *cough, mumble* April 2003 *cough*. It's been worked on off-and-on ever since, and I really hadn't intended to post it unless and until it was finished... but I'm beginning to realize that it probably won't ever be finished unless I get some feedback and know that there's interest in it. Since there's already somewhere in the range of 40-50 pages of it completed, it would be kind of a shame to let all that writing go to waste. If I were to post to LJ only, and space the chapters out to, say, one or two per month, it would at least give people something to read while I'm working on other things, and if there's enough interest I might actually manage to finish the darn thing. Keeping in mind that it *is* a crossover with another anime, and that chapter posting will be widely spaced out, is anybody interested? (1x2x1 and eventual-happy-ending, of course.)

To-Do
- update website (new guest fic, new parts of guest WIPs)
- revise more LWH parts
- finish new LWH part
- finish Ravensilver's 1x2 GW fic from last year's Moonridge Auction 4,491 / 10,000
(44.0%) - finish Veronika's 1x2 GW fic, also from last year's Moonridge Auction 8,112 / 10,000
(81.0%) - finish my J/B TS 'Light' series & suncatchers for the winners of this year's Moonridge Auction
- finish moving stories from my old website to the new one (really low on the priority list at the moment) *sweatdrops*
- finish almost-complete 1x2 GW oneshot
- finish Kindergarten Heero (or at least the next chapter of it)
- way too many other things to list, 'cause this list is already depressingly long...
So, anyway, that's where things currently stand.
