Talk about being good to fandom...
Apr. 19th, 2005 07:13 pmPanic Struck Productions has just released "Star Wars Revelations", a 47-minute, fan-produced, movie that was made with George Lucas's blessing - as long as it was a non-profit organization making it. I haven't finished downloading it yet, but, from what I've heard, it's pretty damn good, considering that they didn't exactly have ILM's budget and resources to work with. The movie is available for download here, as is the movie's original soundtrack. So far, the DVD image of the movie isn't available for download, only the MOV and WMV versions (your choice of large or small for each). There's a link to download it via Bit Torrent as well as via standard download mirrors.
Now if only more companies, authors, etc. would treat their fandoms equally well... Guess we should all cross our fingers and hope that this proves to be such a great move for Lucas that others will follow in his footsteps!
